Kurt Angle Vs Shane McMahon

Honestly, there is no real rhyme or reason for me putting this on this list other than the fact that WrestleMania wouldn’t be WrestleMania without Shane McMahon dancing his way onto the card somehow.

Looking at potential opponents for McMahon at Mania, few options jump out quite as much as Kurt Angle.

Angle is likely to regain control of Raw sometime after Survivor Series and that could potentially plant the seeds for a clash between the two authority figures at WrestleMania.

Angle has shown that he is still capable of performing to a reasonable level during recent matches against Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, and while McMahon is hardly the most competent performer in the ring, the two men still could still probably manage to string together a half-decent encounter if they were given the right stipulation.

Braun Strowman Vs John Cena

Like the previous match on this list, right now, there is no real reason why this match should happen, other than the fact that both Braun Strowman and John Cena both deserve a spot at such a historic WrestleMania.

Strowman has been relegated to pre-show matches and comedy tag-bouts for the last two years, and it’s about time the Monster Among Men was given a serious match-up on the grandest stage of them all.

As for Cena, logic would have suggested that he have a rematch with The Undertaker following his humiliating defeat at the hands of the Deadman last year, but now that Taker looks tied up with the returning Shawn Michaels, Cena could end up being without a dance partner at Mania.

Cena Vs Strowman has the potential to be one of the biggest matches at WrestleMania, especially considering that it would be a first-time clash between two of the company’s most popular stars.

In terms of set-up, Strowman could simply call out Cena and claim that he has no legitimate challengers for Mania, similar to what Cena did with The Undertaker at last year’s event. It’s not the most original idea, but it would still be an effective way of ensuring that two of the company’s most beloved superstars get a chance to do their thing at the showcase of the immortals.
