Brock Lesnar Vs The Rock: Universal Championship

The decision to have Brock Lesnar win the WWE Universal Title for a second time at WWE Crown Jewel enraged the company’s fanbase, but in the long run, it may turn out to be the best decision they could have in the circumstances.

Rumours seemed to suggest that the original plan for WrestleMania was a blockbuster encounter between Roman Reigns and The Rock. If that was the case, then Brock Lesnar is Reigns’ most logical replacement in the encounter.

While Braun Strowman may be over with the WWE fanbase, he does not yet possess the main-stream appeal of Brock Lesnar, and a Mania showdown between Lesnar and The Rock could turn out to be one of the biggest main events in the event’s long and storied history.

This match would also provide the WWE to end the show with a feel-good ending. Fans have been incredibly vocal about their issues with Brock Lesnar over the last few years, and having The Rock, one of the most popular performers of all time, end his reign of terror and then go on to dedicate his victory with some sort of gesture towards Roman Reigns would be a fitting way to end what is going to be a historic night.
