WWE Survivor Series 2018 Predictions: Kurt Angle Costs Raw

Team Raw (Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman, TBA, and TBA) (with Baron Corbin) vs. Team SmackDown (The Miz, Daniel Bryan, Shane McMahon, Samoa Joe, and Rey Mysterio)

The men’s traditional Survivor Series match is about full. We know Smackdown’s full team going into this match. Lead by co-captains, The Miz and Daniel Bryan, the team consists of Samoa Joe, Rey Mysterio, and the new “Best in the World”, Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon. On RAW’s side of the match, Braun Strowman is back on the same team as Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, for now.

There are only two remaining spots on RAW’s team to fill. The RAW roster is full of talent that could be put in this match. Out of all of the choices, I have narrowed it to a handful of picks that make sense going into Survivor Series. The most obvious choice, in my opinion, is for the acting General Manager Baron Corbin to put himself in the match. However, I don’t think that is the way things will go.

Corbin is too easy of a pick to make. I expect him just to play the role of captain. I believe that the WWE will try to make things interesting by adding two rivals. I expect to see Bobby Lashley and Finn Balor added to finalize the team. This keeps their story running while adding true star power to the match at the same time.

With both teams settled, I see Team Smackdown coming up with the victory this year. I expect that Kurt Angle is going to be looking to get back at Baron Corbin. The best way for him to do so is to cost Raw the match. It would be nice if Angle took out McIntrye to cause the loss. I would like to see those two go again on a bigger stage.
