We finally get our actual Tag Team Battle Royale! Yes! Slater and Rhyno, The Revival, and Lucha House Party are eliminated one after the other, until The Ascension and Roode and Gable are left in the ring. You can bet I had my fingers crossed that The Ascension may be able to pull this off. Yes, I am that naive. I prefer the word “optimistic”. Roode eliminates Konnor to gain the Captain spot for his team.

Brock Lesnar is here with Paul Heyman in tow. Paul Heyman gives another Paul-Heyman caliber promo. It always impresses me that he’s creative enough to make his promos up on the fly and react as quickly as he does to what the crowd chants.

Jinder Mahal interupts Paul Heyman. Well, alright! Jinder reminds us all that, indeed, it’s been a year since AJ Styles won the Universal Championship from him, and he wants to help Brock Lesnar in any way he can to get revenge on Styles. He’d like to help Brock with the assistance of his mantra, and after Heyman makes fun of Jinder’s accent and Brock makes a weird Jewish joke, Jinder’s in the ring.

Obviously Brock just mows Jinder and the Singhs over a little too hard, given that they weren’t even challenging him. That’s what happens when you interrupt The Beast, I guess.
