Shane and Daniel Bryan are going at it backstage about Bryan’s attack on Styles, until Styles bursts in again and makes a big to-do of it all. Shane is livid, and he yells that Styles will now be defending his championship tonight against Daniel Bryan.

Next, we have My Favorite Manager Zelina Vega and Andrade “Cien” Almas out in the ring for a match against Jeff Hardy. Both of these men lost opportunities to be on Team SmackDown last week (well, technically only Jeff really lost the opportunity, but you get it).

I’m hoping Andrade gets moved up from the mid-card soon, because if there’s anything we learned from his run in NXT, it’s that man, especially with Vega by his side, can absolutely carry a main event into the stratosphere. Andrade and Rey could absolutely main-event a pay-per-view, so I’m hoping that match-up gets turned into a feud after Survivor Series.

Coming back from commercial, Jeff hardy had the momentum over Almas, until Almas lands a huge double-stomp to Hardy’s chest off the top rope. Hardy almost gets Almas on a quick roll-up, but Almas kicks out and lands a superkick. Almas hits a huge back elbow on Hardy, but that still doesn’t get him the pin.

Almas goes for the Hammerlock, but Jeff counters with the Twist of Fate. He lands the Swanton, and he picks up the win.

Backstage, Paige and The Miz are watching Hardy’s match. Paige and Miz confirm Daniel Bryan is no longer on Team SmackDown, and as the only captain, Miz selects Jeff Hardy to take Bryan’s place on Team SmackDown. While he’s at it, Rey Mysterio’s off the team, too. Paige doesn’t like that Miz’s head is so big, so Paige announces that next, Miz will have to beat Rey if he wants him off the team.

CRAZY night for a Tuesday, huh?
