WWE SmackDown Live: Results and Review For November 13th, 2018
Paige is out in the ring when we come back from commercial, and she brings all the women of Team SmackDown out with her, including Charlotte Flair, who I guess has sorted out her own issues.
Paige again addresses that Becky Lynch is now medically unable to compete on Sunday. Becky will now be hand-picking the women to take on Ronda Rousey this Sunday. Becky is devastated that she will not be able to compete. She admits that her concussion makes Ronda the luckiest woman on the planet, not the baddest, and she’ll be back to finish what she started soon.
She selects none other than Charlotte Flair, and she makes Charlotte promise to beat Ronda Rousey the way she was going to. It was a very obvious break in continuity, but the segment was actually quite moving. There were no words spoken by Charlotte; the two only hugged before Lynch left the ring.
I have to say though… did you hear the pop Asuka got when Lynch approached her? Did you see how ready and how willing Asuka was to get herself in that match? Asuka is chomping at the bit for those big-money matches, and WWE really should start giving them to her.
I’m glad it wasn’t Asuka however, because if there’s ever a time I see Asuka and Ronda Rousey in the same ring, it better take a lot more than five days to build it up.
