WWE SmackDown Live: Results and Review For November 13th, 2018
Main event time, main event time! Here comes our impromptu WWE Championship match featuring Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles! I’m sensing big things for this one, people!
AJ starts out hot, backing Bryan into a corner. He launches Bryan out of the ring before jumping out after him and landing a stiff forearm to Bryan’s head.
When we return from commercial, Bryan is laying in punches to AJ in the corner. AJ starts going after the injured knee of Bryan relentlessly, but when Bryan counters, he trips AJ up on the apron, causing AJ to hit his face on the top rope and fall off. Bryan slams AJ into the ring post twice before throwing him into the ring again and over-extending AJ’s left arm.
Bryan picks AJ’s leg and goes after the arm again, getting a near-fall. The two trade strikes to the face in the middle of the ring before colliding in the middle off some quick rope-running from Bryan.
The two trade more strikes as Bryan’s perched on the top turnbuckle until AJ lands a pele kick. AJ climbs the ropes, but Bryan slips through AJ’s legs, letting AJ fall onto the ropes. Bryan hits the Yes Kicks while AJ’s suspended upside-down off the ropes. Bryan nails AJ with a belly-to-back superplex off the top, and AJ is dead weight in the middle of the ring. Bryan goes for the Yes Kicks one more time.
Styles nearly locks in the Styles Clash, but Daniel Bryan kicks out (literally kicks AJ). Bryan has AJ on his shoulders and rolls him up, but it’s a near fall. AJ rolls out of the ring, looking like he’s going to hit the Phenomenal Forearm. He springboards instead, and Bryan gets his knees up and locks AJ into the Yes Lock. Styles breaks the hold when he gets his hand on the rope.
AJ locks in the Calf Crusher, but Daniel turns it around and tries to secure an armbar. That all goes to hell, and Daniel Bryan get AJ in the Yes Lock again. AJ flings Bryan into the ropes, and Styles attempts the Phenomenal Forearm again, but he misses and hits the ref. While the ref is down, Bryan low-blows Styles. Yeah, low-blows.
Bryan hits a running knee, and he is now the WWE Champion. Daniel Bryan is again the WWE Champion. What a world. What a Tuesday night.
Daniel Bryan attacks AJ styles after the win, solidifying a heel turn in my humble opinion. We will now see Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.
People are actually booing Daniel Bryan. That was quick.
