Kurt Angle costs Team Raw

The build to this year’s traditional Survivor Series match has not been as good as it was in the previous two.

Shane McMahon’s World Cup victory was supposed to be the thing that tied it all together, but that has fallen flat, and the constant reshuffling of teams over the last two weeks has removed any sort of tension from the encounter.

One storyline that has played a prominent role in the incredibly brief build, however, is that of Kurt Angle struggling to regain any sort of power on Monday nights.

Angle was easily disposed of by Drew McIntyre on Raw last week, and the Olympic gold medalist could seek revenge against the Scottish Psychopath, and Raw in general, at Survivor Series.

Having Angle cost Team Raw could set up one of the company’s big storylines for WrestleMania, with a potential showdown between Angle and Corbin still very much on the cards.

Alternatively, Angle could cost SmackDown, setting up a potential showdown between Shane McMahon and himself at Mania next year. The WWE is always looking to put McMahon into a big match-up at Mania, and a clash with Angle could prove to be just what they are looking for.
