Impact Wrestling: Results and Review for November 15th, 2018
LAX is beginning to ask questions about The OGz – where have they been, what have they been up to?
They decided maybe it’s time to offer The Lucha Brothers, Pentagon and Fenix, a Tag Team Championship opportunity, to “keep it in the family” Konnan however, of all people, says it’s not time for them yet, but Santana and Ortiz don’t seem to agree.
Eli Drake is out in the ring now to hype up this year’s Gravy Train Turkey Trot. Also, the lawsuit is off, mostly because it was always a rouse to lure out Joseph Park and thus take out Abyss.
Drake kind of rattles on about out-of-shape old-timers and how they’re bad, I don’t know. I tuned out a bit here, but I woke right back up when Tommy Dreamer’s music hits. Drake just keeps right on rolling with his promo until Dreamer threatens to bite off Drake’s finger.
Tommy Dreamer takes offense to everything Drake says about Abyss, and then we get into one of those “never forget where you came from”, “the guys of old paved the way for the guys of new” promos, which has personally never been super over with me. It’s true; of course it’s true, but to me it’s sort of a “common thought” of wrestling, just too easy of a promo when a great meets a current performer.
Either way, Drake fires back, and Dreamer’s ready for a match right now. Drake sneaks away through the ropes.
Meanwhile, Alisha Edwards is backstage to confront Moose and a “hussy”. Eddie’s on his way, and Alisha begs Moose to leave before Eddie does something crazy. Moose says it’s simple – Eddie shows up, he’ll just call the cops.
