8. 10-on-10 Tag Team Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match

This one got bumped to the Kickoff Show earlier in the week, but even if that wasn’t the case, no one should have super high hopes for this match. As I mentioned in the intro, the odds of a Survivor Series eliminator being overbooked into oblivion is pretty high. If the talent can overcome that, it’s one thing, but this has a lot working against it.

First off, WWE pays little to no attention to it’s tag team divisions, especially the Raw side. It’s not a good sign when fans (as well as wrestling writers) are openly wondering just who could possibly be a part of these teams. (Although, the joy of watching people remember The Colons were a thing was worth it.)

Second, outside of The Usos and New Day, when was the last time any of these teams did anything of note? The B-Team has been dead in the water since dropping the Raw Tag Team Championships, The Revival are a shell of their former selves, The Club may as well be out of WWE with how often they’re used.

Plus, why is SAnitY working with anyone? The logic of building this one has my head hurting, and I just can’t see anything worthwhile here because New Day and Usos are on the same side.

7. Women’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match

Here’s one that pains me, because I want this match to be great. I think it can be, but  it also won’t be. Confused? Welcome to my world, pal.

There’s a lot to be desired in how this match came together. For starters, how do you book a team from Raw without Sasha Banks or Bayley? I get that Alexa Bliss is the captain, and she’s a nasty evil heel, but if you’re shooting for “brand supremacy” wouldn’t either of those two Horsewomen be a better selection than Tamina?

The entire Raw team is just weird. Nia Jax is suddenly best buds with Bliss again, just because evil finds evil. Here’s four heels and Natalya. What, was Alicia Fox out of wacky outfits?

Speaking of odd, how about SmackDown not announcing their fifth member yet? I know it was supposed to be Charlotte, and she’s otherwise occupied now. But WWE knew for how long that Becky Lynch was out of Survivor Series? They worked everything else out, but they couldn’t finish Team Blue here?

Throw in the convoluted mess that most Survivor Series matches end up turning into, and this will be a frustrating affair for the fans.
