MLW Fusion Results, Highlights, and Grades: Death of The Death Machine
MLW’s Hot December
MLW is coming to Miami in about a month with back-to-back shows on December 13 and 14 in Never Say Never and Zero Hour, respectively. The cards are just now beginning to be fleshed out for each night and they’re already starting to look like every other MLW card has up until this point – stacked and can’t-miss.
On December 13 at Never Say Never, PCO and LA Park collide once more in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. PCO seems to have a problem being one-and-done with opponents in MLW, evidenced by his pair of fights with Brody King escalating to a No DQ Match as part of Fightland in Chicago. Can PCO put a dent in the armor of Promociones Dorado on night one of the double-shot?
In what will be his second event for MLW, Rush will take on the MLW World Heavyweight Champion MJF on December 13. The MLW World Heavyweight Title isn’t on the line, but it may be more a matter of pride after MJF’s anti-luchador sentiments surfaced on Twitter a couple of weeks back.
Zero Hour on December 14 will feature the aforementioned Low Ki versus Konnan match which should bring out the throngs of MLW fans in Miami for the legendary luchador’s return to singles competition in MLW. Fenix, Pentagon Jr and Daga have all fallen to Salina de la Renta’s army over the past few months. Can Konnan be the one who finally teaches Low Ki a lesson, or will the MLW World Heavyweight Champion send Konnan packing from Major League Wrestling?
In what should be an absolute show-stealer, MJF will defend the World Middleweight Championship in a four-way Ladder Match against Marko Stunt, Kotto Brazil and Jason Cade. One of these things is not like the others, though this could work to the advantage of the ground-based MJF. Stunt, Brazil and Cade will no doubt wow the crowd with death-defying action from, and onto, ladders while MJF and Aria Blake will look to pick the scraps of the challengers.
Next week on MLW, Low Ki will defend the MLW World Heavyweight Title against Shane Strickland. The former champion has been down on his luck and showing a different attitude after dropping the title to Ki months back. Can next week’s opportunity be the boost Strickland needs to skyrocket himself back to the top of MLW?
Plus, Kotto Brazil and Trey Miguel square off in a rematch from a previous MLW Fusion encounter. Miguel was able to pick up the win the first time around, but Brazil’s star has certainly risen since then with a main event spot in War Games in Fort Lauderdale. Brazil will need a big win going into Zero Hour in December, but Miguel will be working just as hard, if not harder, to make a name for himself in Chicago.
