NXT UK: Jinny vs. Millie McKenzie

The NXT UK Women’s Championship Tournament has gotten off to a swimmingly good start, and it’s quite clear that this division will be a highlight of the show going forward. Many of NXT UK’s best characters can be found among this group of wrestlers, with nobody shining moreso than Jinny, who has been one of the world’s most interesting heel characters for quite some time.

Pretending you haven’t been spoiled yet, Jinny is seen as one of the favorites in this tournament, and she was able to defeat a difficult opponent in her quarterfinal matchup. Jinny is familiar with the hard-hitting style that Millie McKenzie brings to the table, but the younger and more athletic McKenzie was no match for the technically-sound and oh-so-intelligent Jinny.

With a one-track mind that is solely focused on the UK Women’s Championship, Jinny will face either Isla Dawn or Toni Storm in the semifinals. Though Dawn is impressive in her own right, Storm is the obvious favorite to win that match, and Storm vs. Jinny could be even more interesting than McKenzie vs. Jinny was.

That said, Jinny vs. McKenzie is absolutely worth your time, especially since it’s important to get as familiar as possible with these two wrestlers. They have been among the best in the United Kingdom scene this year, and they killed it this week on NXT UK. For Jinny, a title win should come sooner than later, while McKenzie has boundless potential as a member of the NXT UK roster.
