1. Rousey Versus Jax Becomes A Steel Chairs Match At TLC
Last week, Ronda Rousey came face-to-face with the facebreaker and current number one contender herself, Nia Jax, after dismantling Mickie James.
This week, I expect that tension between the two stars to explode in the form of a violent steel chair attack by Nia Jax and Tamina on the current Raw Women’s Champion.
While a steel chair match, resulting from said attack, may not seem like the most exciting stipulation, that reason itself is why Rousey versus Jax will be fought under that rarely used stipulation.
You see, every year at TLC, their is inevitably an unmemorable match that fills the obligatory spot of the steel chair match. In fact, I can’t think of one match at the TLC show that was ever truly memorable featuring that stipulation.
That’s why this year, WWE will book a premier match with that exact stipulation. Rousey versus Jax will immediately become the first and only memorable steel chairs match, while simultaneously providing a stipulation for Rousey’s match that is far less risky for WWE to put one their last uninjured top Raw stars in before major pay-per-views like Royal Rumble and WrestleMania come around.
Therefore, I expect this week to feature Rousey demanding another challenger for her belt on Raw. After thoroughly beating whatever unlucky heel emerges to challenge her this time, she will be attacked by Nia Jax and Tamina in a devastating two-on-one beat down.
Eventually, Jax and Tamina will decide to pull out a steel chair to truly take it to the champ after she tries to fight back, thus cementing the stipulation for Rousey and Jax’s match at TLC.
While it may not have seemed likely at first, I then believe a steel chair match will be the first stipulation for the red brand’s matches that’s announced on the road to TLC.
