AJ Styles prepares for TLC by attacking Daniel Bryan
As I’ve said before, the only match SmackDown currently has booked for TLC is the rematch between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan. Last week, only Bryan was there to “explain his actions” at Survivor Series and the week before where we saw him take the WWE Championship from AJ Styles in a very not-Daniel-Bryan-like manner.
Styles, of course, was not on TV last week with Bryan, so it’s likely WWE will begin their program towards TLC this Tuesday. If the audience tonight is anything like me, they’re really going to need a little time and effort put into hammering Daniel Bryan home as a heel. I don’t care how many low blows he dishes out; he’s still a hero in my eyes!
Anyway, my emotions aside, Daniel Bryan will probably be out in the ring tonight to give another “hey, I’m a heel now” promo, and it will hopefully be pompous enough to at least have the audience thinking “okay, I’m ready for this to be over” (and at best “wow, Daniel Bryan is a really big jerk”, though again, I will never believe it).
Out comes AJ Styles, still The Champ Who Runs The Camp at heart, and he’ll be met with thunderous applause as everyone was waiting for Daniel Bryan to shut up. Styles will attack Bryan in the ring, Bryan will scurry out after eating a few hits, and Styles will grab the mic to say that at TLC, he’s ready to take his title back from a coward who had to cheat.
