3. Fallout (War Raiders)

I’m almost ashamed to admit it, but with all the great talent in NXT at the moment, I sometimes forget just how good the War Raiders are. Much of their most recent feud has put the focus on things outside of their work as a tag team, so seeing their tremendous finisher has been a rarity lately.

But Hanson and Rowe are phenomenal athletes, and capable of things you wouldn’t expect at first glance. Which is why when they connect with Fallout, it’s a spectacle like few others. Just the visual of Hanson flying through the air to connect with a leg drop would be enough, but add to that a belly to back suplex by Rowe and it’s one of the most impressive moves in wrestling.

The history of the War Raiders outside of WWE, when they were known as War Machine, is long and storied, and while there have been some tweaks to the gimmick along the way, it’s great to see their long-time finisher is still the same.

While the state of the tag team divisions on Raw and SmackDown is troubled at best, NXT offers hope for the future. Between the War Raiders, TUE, Heavy Machinery, and the Street Profits — not to mention Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, or the Forgotten Sons, or TM61 — there’s a plethora of great teams ready for the call.
