1. Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, And Bobby Lashley Trio Feels Unnecessary

Acting GM Baron Corbin has found a new life on Monday nights over the past few months in his authoritative role.  Corbin fits into this gimmick perfectly and he has taken to it like a duck takes to water, but he wants that acting GM label to move to a permanent role.

Corbin wants to become the permanent GM and he wants to make everyone against him suffer.  After the attack on Braun Strowman last week alongside Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley, the trio was basking in its glory last night to open up the show.  The three were puffing out their chests, so to speak, before Elias interrupted ahead of his match with Lashley.

Elias appeared to have won the match courtesy of a disqualification, but Corbin abused his power and changed the match to no disqualification before the trio attacked Elias, allowing Lashley to get the win.  Later in the night, however, the three weren’t finished when Corbin went one-on-one with Finn Balor in a match that wound up being changed to a two-on-one handicap match mid-match.

McIntyre joined the picture and that was all the edge needed to defeat Balor before Lashley came out and made his presence felt.  The bigger picture involving this situation is how unnecessary this trio feels.  Lashley doesn’t need it and McIntyre certainly doesn’t need it, but yet here they are.  This feels eerily similar to the recent trio of Strowman, McIntyre, and Dolph Ziggler that very few fans bought into.

As weak as that trio felt at times, this trio feels even weaker and less important in the grand scheme of things.
