The entire roster is out on the ramp to welcome in tonight’s real guest of honor – Jeff Hardy, who is celebrating his twentieth anniversary with the WWE. With all Jeff Hardy has been through (and I mean it, really), the fact that he’s here, with the company, actively participating in matches is nothing short of amazing.

A wonderful (no pun intended) highlight package of Jeff’s (and Matt’s) accomplishments is played, and Jeff get’s on the mic to thank the WWE Universe sincerely for their love and support. He says this is far from a retirement speech, and he looks forward to going on the journey with us.

Samoa Joe shows up late, and amazingly the entire SmackDown roster just allows him to interrupt everything. Joe brings up Jeff’s addiction issure (of course, ugh), calling him weak and saying Jeff shouldn’t be allowed to have a second chance in this business when Joe’s barely gotten his first.

Contrary to what Joe says, Jeff says this isn’t his second chance – it’s probably his twentieth. He remains positive in the face of Joe’s criticism, and he even challenges Joe to a match this evening (see? A theme!), but Joe retreats to the back.
