1. Women’s Battle Royal

The SmackDown women’s division has been centered around Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair over the past few months, and rightfully so.  These two women are at the top of their games right now, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the division isn’t in a good place either.

These women said as much during last night’s opening segment featuring Lynch and Charlotte, clamoring for a shot.  GM Paige obliged and announced that in the night’s main event, these women would compete in a battle royal to determine which woman would join the TLC match between The Man and The Queen with the SmackDown Women’s Championship at stake.

The fans were behind Asuka more than anyone else in the match, but it wouldn’t be easy for The Empress Of Tomorrow.  The first half of the match was a bit of a blur with several quick eliminations, but once things came down to Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Naomi, and Asuka, the action picked up tremendously.

Rose got eliminated and Naomi followed, leaving things down to Deville and Asuka.  The battle between those two was impressive and dramatic as well with both women teetering on the edge of the ring apron.  One final shot was needed to win the match, and Asuka made sure that shot came courtesy of her and she managed to knock Deville off of the apron to win the match and advance to TLC.

The first-ever women’s TLC match just got bigger with a game-changing addition of The Empress Of Tomorrow.
