Surprise Confrontations That Can Rival Even Some Of Brock Lesnar’s Best Pull-Apart Brawls:

Before Fury’s most recent fight with Francesco Pianeta, Deontay Wilder decided it was time to send a message of his own to the British boxing star.

Wilder crashed Fury’s weigh-in, shouting his signature BOMB ZQUAD catchphrase, before getting into a confrontation with Fury’s father. To put this in wrestling context, just think of all the times a superstar has interrupted a backstage segment to get in his or her two cents about an upcoming match or ongoing feud. It’s one of tried-and-true segments to set up an upcoming match, and Wilder executed it perfectly.

After being escorted out of the press conference, it was in the lobby where you saw the pull-apart near brawl above. Wilder and Fury both decided it was time to get in each other’s faces for just a bit more jawing leading to a massive crowd pulling the two apart. It’s all very much in the vein of any number of times someone like Brock Lesnar or Samoa Joe has had to been restrained when a war of words goes south.

It’s in situations like these when you can really tell how big of personalities Wilder and Fury really are. They not only are willing to do the usual press conferences and weigh-ins to set-up a fight, but they also constantly look for ways to go above and beyond to promote their fights and themselves.
