WWE TLC 2018 Match Card Predictions: Team Corbin vs. Team Angle

The Bar (c) vs. The Usos [SD Tag Titles: Ladder Match]🔵

Since The Usos were the sole survivors in the Raw vs. SmackDown Tag Team Survivor Series Match in the kickoff show at Survivor Series 2018, they would be best fit to become No. 1 contenders for The Bar’s SmackDown Tag Titles. These two teams are very familiar with each other with their back to back Survivor Series Match ups in 2016 and 2017. This foreseeable match is, in essence, their trilogy.

I’m going to boldly predict that The Usos will become the new SmackDown Tag Titles for two valid reasons:

(1) There is no other formidable babyface Tag Team on SmackDown Live to face off against The Bar since The New Day failed at doing so.

(2) The heel faction known as SAnitY would be next in line to target babyface Usos if The Usos were to become SmackDown Tag Champions.

When heel SAnitY debuted on the main roster, their first target was The Usos, but plans got scrapped and they immediately switched to targeting The New Day. Based on pure intuition, it seems to me that this feud was saved for a WrestleMania moment and that SAnitY’s momentum was stopped because they would get pushed for the tag titles eventually rather than immediately. This method was pretty similar to the way Bludgeon Brothers were booked last year against Usos and The New Day, leading up to their big title win at WrestleMania 34.

Consequently, to set up SAnitY-Usos, I predict the Usos will dethrone The Bar, thereby making Cesaro and Sheamus transitional or placeholder champions yet again. In fact, this will happily bring us back to Day One-Ish in the Uso Penitentiary, and the SmackDown Tag Team Division will once again be ON LOCK!
