WWE TLC 2018: 4 reasons why Asuka should win

Asuka Has Earned Being A Champion
WWE has shown little faith in Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura since their main roster call-ups, because while Nakamura is the current United States Champion, they haven’t exactly given “The King of Strong Style” a chance to elevate the title in the same way that he boosted the IWGP Intercontinental Championship in NJPW.
The promotion’s lack of faith in their two uber-talented Japanese stars, who were both successful champions and adored by NXT fans, is alarming. And while “The Future” hasn’t been positioned as a top star on SmackDown Live, she still gets the reactions, which is yet another sign that her popularity can’t even be doused by WWE.
Asuka’s first title win on the main roster has been a long time coming. She’s one of the most talented wrestlers on this planet, and her matches against Charlotte, Ember Moon, Sasha Banks, and Nikki Cross in both NXT and on the main roster are just a handful of examples of her prodigious talent.
Charismatic and fearless, Asuka is the kind of exciting champion who can help avoid there being a let-down on SmackDown Live after “The Man” drops the title. And “The Empress” is by far the best wrestler (not named Charlotte, since that needs to take a backseat now) to feud with Becky heading into 2019.
