2. Samoa Joe will face off against Jeff Hardy

If you tuned into SmackDown last week, then you witnessed the celebration of one-half of Team Extreme, Jeff Hardy’s twentieth anniversary with WWE. Every member of the SmackDown roster was out on the ramp as we all applauded the illustrious career of Hardy, who we all know had his fair share of demons to deal with in order to get to this point.

Everyone showed their appreciation, of course, except SmackDown Mega Heel Samoa Joe, who somehow Shane McMahon just let interrupt the festivities. Joe of course brought up everything in Jeff’s past, and he insisted that guys like Jeff hardly (was that hard for you to read? Me too.) deserve a second chance when Joe’s barely had his first.

If they’re not booked in a match before SmackDown airs tomorrow, then they’ll have enough of a heated confrontation on-air that Paige will book a match for that night. You simply don’t bring up a man’s past like that and not expect to put your money where your mouth is, Joe.

What I’d hope to see from this match is exactly what we saw from these two last week – Joe comes out being the take-no-prisoners bad guy we all know and love, and Jeff Hardy remains the humble, grateful-he’s-even-here performer we’ve seen throughout the passed twenty years.
