WWE Raw Finally Gave Ember Moon The Spotlight She Deserves

Since her time in NXT, Ember Moon has consistently been one of the most entertaining competitors on the WWE Roster. Find out why Moon is finally starting to get the push she deserves on the main roster!

On the December 3rd edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Ember Moon teamed with Ronda Rousey to take on Nia Jax and Tamina in the main event.

While Raw main event segments featuring Ronda Rousey or even Nia Jax are less than surprising to see at this point, this spotlight was something new for Moon.

Ever since her call-up from NXT, Moon has been stuck in the mid-card of the women’s division on the main roster. Instead of fighting for world titles like she did in NXT, she’s been mostly embroiled in throwaway feuds with The Riott Squad.

Now, however, it looks like WWE might be ready to treat her like the main event star she is.

Fans of NXT already know about the immense talent that Moon has. Anyone who saw her show-stealing matches with Asuka in NXT know Moon has the potential star power to main event just about any WWE show.

That’s why its been such a surprise that Moon has yet to receive a real opportunity to show that star power on the main roster. Although she has been featured in prominent roles in matches like the women’s Money In The Bank or the number 1 contender’s battle royale at Evolution, Moon has yet to get an opportunity to go one-on-one in a main event caliber setting.

That’s why her tag match with Ronda Rousey on Raw was so intriguing. It may be the first real indication that WWE is finally ready to push “The War Goddess” into an angle that could easily lead her to the main event.

A potential future angle with Rousey would finally provide Ember Moon the chance to showcase her talent on Raw. A dream match between the two could undoubtedly become a match of the year contender if it were given the same time and attention Rousey’s feuds have gotten in the past.

At the moment, Ember Moon still appears to be very popular with WWE audiences. In an even greater indication of her star potential, Moon has yet to fall prey to the pitfalls that have doomed other misused NXT talents on the main roster in the past like The Ascension and Tye Dillinger.

Nevertheless, I fear that the clock is ticking on WWE pulling the trigger on a main event run for Moon. Now, it’s up to WWE to capitalize on the recent push they have given Moon on Raw, and find a permanent spot for her next to Ronda Rousey in the Raw Women’s Championship picture where she deserves to be.
