ARRIVAL Ep.3: From FIRED to WWE FUTURE

As the Riddle family makes a beach day stop on their move to Orlando, we get a better look at Matt’s mixed martial arts career. His career in that industry started when he one day walked into a class at the Rat Pack Fighting Systems. Six months later he was turning into a star on season 7 of the Ultimate Fighter.

At only 22-years old, he was making waves in the UFC after knocking out an opponent with an incredible right hand to the jaw. His stock only continued to rise and he was starting to get more high-profile matches.

Things however, would start to turn bleek for the once top-ranked prospect. He felt he was being lied to by the UFC and spoke his mind to the media about his position in the company. Unfortunate for Riddle at the time, he was soon fired.

Matt and Lisa couldn’t believe it and they weren’t sure what would be next for their family with Matt without a job or dream insight. Then, WrestleMania 30 happened. Matt watched the likes of Daniel Bryan take the stage and wondered to himself, “You know what? I think I can do this.”

He took this idea to his friend and lawyer Nicholas Masington, and the rest is history. After four years on the indies racking up championship after championship, Riddle is on his way to becoming a star in the WWE and Masington believes this is only the beginning.

Just as we started in episode 3, we get one final look at the Riddle’s enjoying the sandy beaches in North Carolina. The joy and smiles on everyone’s faces mixed with emotional background music will bring goosebumps to any viewer because of the journey that this family has been on.

Thanks to the WWEPC YouTube channel, we got to walk a little bit on this journey with them and in return, got a better look at the future of the WWE.

If it isn’t already evident, the real reason you should be rooting for Matt Riddle is because this man is more than world-renowned fighter and wrestler. He isn’t just another face at the Performance Center. He’s more than a “Bro” and he’s more than meets the eye.

Matt Riddle is a man with a passionate family who is every bit as strong as the fighter in the ring. Riddle may have ARRIVED in the WWE, but it isn’t just Matt. Lisa, Zachary, Allison and Amy have arrived alongside Matt, and you should be rooting for them all.
