2. Recent Raw Shortcomings Being Brought Into Storyline Form Is A Creative Spin
Monday Night Raw has been hard to watch in recent weeks, there’s no other way around it. The show has lacked entertainment, creativity, strong booking, and just about everything else, but for the first time, the show’s recent issues were brought to light on air.
Baron Corbin has been running amok over the past couple of months and, coincidentally, the red brand has been suffering in the forms of captivating TV and TV ratings. These real-life issues were brought into question last night when Seth Rollins called out Corbin to address how he has been running the show as of late.
The Architect didn’t hold back, and his words echoed much of what the WWE universe has been saying lately about Raw. Rollins said Raw has sucked since Corbin has been in charge and that the record-low TV ratings the show has been getting are all his fault. He took it a step further when he said locker room morale is down as well, along with quality talent being underutilized.
Rollins mentioned factors like how The Revival has been terribly mistreated in recent weeks in the matches with The Lucha House Party with Lucha House Rules. It seems like the WWE is spinning the recent shortcomings of the show into storyline form, and while that is a bit of a cop-out to distract fans from how poor Raw has been, it’s creative. Blaming it on Corbin makes sense storyline wise and his fall from grace seems imminent.
Even though the WWE decided to address the issues in storyline form, the show has to start being booked better for fans to get interested again.
