5. Why place all the blame on Baron Corbin?

Understandably, Baron Corbin is Raw’s only consistently on-screen authority figure. While the former Lone Wolf’s tenure as an authority figure has garnered mixed response from the fans, it is primarily due to the way his character has been booked. Corbin has used this opportunity to work on his mic game, and it actually shows. However, his position as an authority figure might end come Sunday.

But something that sparks a question is why is Corbin being blamed for Raw‘s falling ratings and flat storylines? Seth Rollins would come out this week to address the situation, where he basically reiterated every fan’s words as they sit through the three-hour monstrosity that Raw has turned into. Rollins would then blame Baron Corbin for the lack of morale in the locker room and for the mistreatment of talented tag teams like the Revival.

While the angle helped to project Rollins as the ‘Voice of the Voiceless’ in the reality era, was it really needed? If anything, it seems like creative is showcasing Corbin as a scapegoat for the poorly received shows that has been plaguing the WWE since August.

It is still a storyline development but it did not seem fair or healthy to me. As for Corbin, one has to wonder what awaits him should Braun Strowman return and defeat him at TLC.

Unless he has a backup plan, that is.
