2. What lies ahead for AJ Styles?

AJ Styles is all set to face Daniel Bryan in a rematch for the WWE title. While the Phenomenal One is truly a great worker within the ropes, and SmackDown Live is indeed the House that AJ Styles Built, I don’t see him recapturing the title. Daniel Bryan, with his heel turn is simply too good to pass up now as the WWE champion.

So the question is, after TLC, what lies ahead for the Phenomenal One? Styles is too good to be moved to the mid-card, although he can definitely bring back relevance to the United States title. Him winning the Royal Rumble will be too soon to bring him back to the WWE title scene. In fact, I expect Styles to be drafted over to Raw during the next Superstar Shakeup. But for now, the future is uncertain for Styles.

There has been a lot of rumors (h/t BarnBurner and Ringsidenews) going around about a potential clash between Styles and Randy Orton at WrestleMania 35. If that is the case, then count me in. Not only would the match steal the show, but the excellent character work and build up would be too good to miss. It will be the culmination of Orton’s recent vendetta against fan favorites and Styles is the biggest fan favorite of them all, especially since Daniel Bryan is a heel now.

One has to wait until the build towards this match kicks in to the high gear though.
