Charlie Morgan VS Pete Dunne

Pete Dunne would be a great candidate to bring intergender wrestling to NXT UK. He’s the current champion, and he has participated in some excellent intergender matches. British Strong Style vs Sendai Girls remains a King of Trios must-see, and Dunne is a huge part of why.

Dunne is also known for putting over his female colleagues outside of the ring, maintaining a friendly teasing partnership with Millie McKenzie and correctly asserting that Meiko Satomura is the best wrestler in the world. Dunne would be a game opponent and a name-making challenge for any roster member, male or female. So who’s the woman who would dare to take him on?

There’s only one option in my mind: “Fearless” Charlie Morgan. Best known to Pro Wrestling EVE’s fanbase as the Ace of EVE, Charlie Morgan also had memorable matches in PROGRESS and other European companies.

She’s known for living up to her nickname by being willing to take on any challenge and pull out all the stops to win big matches. Her ongoing rivalry with Sammi Jayne culminated in one of the biggest all-out brawls at WrestleQueendom. In brutal gauntlets like the Pick Your Poison showcase, Morgan has proven time and time again that she can hold her own with anybody who enters the ring with her.

Morgan hasn’t had a great opportunity to impress the NXT crowd yet, and she needs an opponent who can show off her tough side and build her up as a badass babyface. What better way to get that story started than to allow Morgan to challenge Dunne for the UK title?
