Ruby Riott VS The Miz

Before she was Ruby Riott, Heidi Lovelace had some of the most fun and memorable matches of her career against male competitors. She’s had impressive singles and tag team matches in CHIKARA, AAW, and other promotions. My personal favorite was her run at FEST Wrestling, where she fought for – and defended – an intergender title.

Riott is an undeniable talent, and despite some issues with inconsistent booking, WWE has given her a lot to do since bringing her to the company. Feuds with Riott have sharpened the skills and raised the profile of newer WWE competitors like Sonya Deville, and she can push experienced wrestlers like Charlotte and Natalya into compelling bouts with little build-up.

Ruby is a wrestler who brings out the best in her opponents, and she is a talented intergender wrestler. WWE would make a huge mistake if they didn’t include her in plans for intergender wrestling on the main roster.

The Miz, as far as I know, has no intergender wrestling experience. But he is a great performer, and his stellar character work and ability to build a compelling feud are what got him to the top of the mid-card. If there is one thing the Miz is good at, it’s being the kind of guy you want to punch in the face.

Nobody loves punching arrogant people in the face more than Ruby Riott. The Riott Squad runs on anarchy and chaos, and they delight in taking people down. The Miz would be a tempting target for them if they were allowed to go after him. He is also an extraordinarily arrogant wrestler who would not react well to being shown up by a pack of unruly ladies from the red brand. It would be a lot of fun to watch the Riott Squad mess with the Miz, and the inevitable in-ring showdown would be amazing. My money would be on Riott, of course, but you never know…
