3. Vince McMahon tells Baron Corbin, “You’re FIRED!”, but Stephanie McMahon has other ideas

Baron Corbin had a rough night at Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. He was beat repeatedly with chairs in his final comeuppance before losing the general manager position by being pinned by a one-armed Braun Strowman.

Now, Corbin heads into Raw at his lowest point in weeks. He also finally heads into Raw without being in the general manager role which has completed stifled the red brand for weeks at this point. Corbin will of course be looking for any excuse possible to explain that precipitous drop in status, while simultaneously trying to keep his position as acting general manager.

Unfortunately for Corbin, I think things will only get worse for him though once Vince McMahon shows up.

I predict McMahon will deride everything Corbin has done on Raw in recent weeks, further blaming him for the poor ratings of WWE’s flagship show in a reality era attempt to make a storyline out of the recent terrible television we’ve all seen. Whether or not you agree with that approach or not, personally I think its a poor excuse to attempt to explain Raw’s struggles, it should lead to a major storyline development tonight.

Baron Corbin will get fired from Monday Night Raw by Vince McMahon for his poor performance.

While it may seem like this segment will serve as a sort of final payoff to this recent general manager storyline, that sadly won’t be the case. While we try to figure out who the next Raw General Manager is, I expect Stephaine McMahon to do everything in her power to keep Corbin in his recent role.

Right now, If I had to guess who becomes the acting Raw General Manager, I would think Kurt Angle will end up getting his old job back, much to the chagrin of Stephanie McMahon. This will lead to Stephanie McMahon confronting Baron Corbin backstage and offering him a chance to earn his job back by beating Angle in a match, likely set to take place at Royal Rumble.

Inevitably, this will lead to more weeks of prolonged focus on the general manager position. Hopefully, it won’t serve as too much of a distraction from the rest of Raw’s top stories however, as some exciting developments happened last night at TLC which may reignite a much anticipated feud for The Royal Rumble.
