WWE Raw: Results, Review, and Grades for December 17th
Finn Balor vs. Dolph Ziggler
In the quickest example of WWE booking I’ve seen in a while, Finn Balor will be facing off against Dolph Ziggler after Ziggler attacked Balor after he “helped” Finn win his match against Drew McIntyre last night.
Both men come out hot, and really all these men have to look at each other intensely to get the crowd to pop.
Back from the commercial, Balor lands a basement dropkick, but he appears to have a bit of a problem with one of his hamstrings. Balor lands a mule kick and a heavy chop on Ziggler, before he hits a big stomp to Ziggler’s chest.
Ziggler counter a slingblade with a roll-up, but he can’t get the pin. Balor counters the Famouser with an elbow, but he can’t get the pin either. Balor hits the slingblade and then a huge DDT, but Ziggler still kicks out of the cover.
Finn goes for the Coup De Grace, but Ziggler knocks him off the ropes. Ziggler hits the Zig Zag, but Balor powers out of the cover at two-and-a-half!
Out comes Drew McIntyre, who goes right after Ziggler. Balor lands a dive out onto McIntyre to take him out, and then back in the ring, Ziggler still fails to get a pin on Balor.
Drew checks Balor, thus causing the DQ. McIntyre simply assaults Ziggler, giving him the Glasgow Kiss and the Claymore. He gives another Claymore to Balor to add that little cherry on top of another relentless showing.
Grade: Really would have appreciate a definite end to that match, but what can you do? Change is a slow process.
