2. Natalya Gets Well-Deserved Shot At The Raw Women’s Championship

The women’s division has been on fire as of late on both the red brand and the blue brand.  These women have been carrying the WWE as of late with superb performance after superb performance, including last night when determining a new number one contender was at the top of the agenda.

Ronda Rousey successfully retained her Raw Women’s Championship this past Sunday at TLC in a very good match with Nia Jax, but The Baddest Woman On The Planet wasn’t content last night and she wanted a fight.  Rousey was issuing an open challenge of sorts, but the entire women’s roster wanted to answer it.  Stephanie McMahon had the answer to solve that problem when she booked an eight-woman gauntlet match.

The winner of the match would become the number one contender for the Raw Women’s Championship and go on to face Rousey next week on Raw.  Bayley had an impressive performance during the early stages of the match, but she would eventually be eliminated by Mickie James.  James would be taken out by Ember Moon before the eventual winner would make her presence felt.

Natalya went on a tear and eliminated Moon, Ruby Riott, and Sasha Banks to go on and win in impressive fashion.  The ending sequence with Banks was very impressive, in particular, and Nattie will challenge her training partner and friend next week for the Raw Women’s Championship.  This was a great decision and seeing Natalya earn this championship opportunity against Rousey is so well-deserved.

Nattie has been on a roll as of late, so it’s only fitting that role continues into next week with a major championship opportunity against ‘The Baddest Woman On The Planet’.
