WWE SmackDown Live: Results, Review, and Grades for December 18th
Shane is front and center backstage as soon as SmackDown goes to air, and he’s addressing the whole roster. New Day is eating whole steaks with their hands.
He wants the roster to know that an age of progression is upon the WWE, and everyone on the roster is going to held accountable for themselves and the growth of the brand. He recognizes (wonderful and amazing) GM Paige to give his thanks on behalf on all of SmackDown. She will apparently no longer be GM, but will still be on SmackDown? Not sure on this.
We kick off SmackDown FOR REAL this time, with none other than Becky Lynch! Becky looks pissed as all hell, and with good reason – she’s walking out empty-handed… or, empty-torsoed.
Oof, power opener – she doesn’t care who’s running the show, because she’s in charge, and her business is only done in the ring. Now, she wants Ronda Rousey, and to be honest, she had a point with the “Roddy Piper Cosplayer” comment…
Out comes Charlotte, and she tells Becky to get in line. She wants Ronda Rousey first. While these two bicker, however, here comes the REAL queen – new SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka.
Becky and Charlotte both yell at Asuka, and over each other, and looky, looky… here comes Vince McMahon. He wants to wish a Happy Holidays to the whole universe, well, and to give his congratulations to Asuka.
He says that neither Charlotte or Becky have had conduct becoming of a champion (okay), and Asuka will have a Championship match tonight… against Naomi!
