1. What lies ahead for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn?

Vignettes announcing the returns of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens aired on Monday night. These two best friends had been out with injuries for a while. It is good to see them both back in action, ahead of schedule in Zayn’s case, in time for WrestleMania season. Will they make their return at the Royal Rumble? Or will it be sooner or later down the line?

Owens was almost becoming a babyface of sorts, at least to me, thanks in large to Braun Strowman at the time. Zayn can always pull off a babyface run but his heel run was one of the most entertaining antics in recent times. Though it was plagued by poor storylines and bad bookings, Zayn showed he could be a great annoying little heel given the chance.

What role would these two men have when they make their return? Will their friendship continue? Or will they breakup eventually? If so, who will turn on whom? It will be refreshing to see a heel Sami Zayn go against a babyface Kevin Owens for once. But I would really love for them to stay together as an act and even try a hand in the tag division.

Because, with the potential calling up of multiple NXT stars and a soon to be expected post-WrestleMania call up and superstar shakeup, these two entertaining and talented wrestles could easily be lost in the shuffle. This is a very real scenario should they continue to be featured as singles performers. Will creative book them properly and give them a memorable run at the top that they deserve? Will they go back to the tried and tested storyline of having them fight with each other, never having a bad match along the way?

What does the future hold for Owens and Zayn?
