3: Drew Gulak – Cruiserweight Title
At the start of 2019, Drew Gulak looked like he was set to be the main heel on the 205 Live roster, then Buddy Murphy happened.
Murphy’s crazy rise to the top of the 205 Live roster saw a lot of superstars pushed back down the card, not least of which was Drew Gulak, with the two men effectively competing for the top heel spot on the brand.
While there is no absolutely no denying Buddy Murphy’s incredible talent, Drew Gulak is more than deserving of a run with the Cruiserweight belt soon, and 2019 could finally be his year.
His mic-work, coupled with his newly adopted aggressive in-ring approach, has been one of the best things on 205 Live throughout the year, and his more technical grounded approach could help the brand shake the ‘flippy, indie guys’ image that it holds among some of the more traditional WWE fanbase.
With there currently being several superstars ahead of Gulak in the queue for a shot at Murphy’s title belt, he will most likely end up taking the belt from someone like Mustafa Ali or maybe Cedric Alexander a little later down the line.
Rest assured though, 205 Live will officially become a no-fly zone at some point during the next 12 months.
