17. Kofi Kingston

I love the New Day as much as the next person, but I do think we could do without all three members in the Royal Rumble. Instead, I’d like to see the three of them compete on an episode of SmackDown with the winner getting the spot in the Royal Rumble match. It would be a great way to have them wrestle each other without having them break up. I think Kofi is the guy to get the nod in the end after seeing how much the fans were cheering for him in last year’s Money in the Bank match.

18. Samoa Joe

It’s a travesty that Samoa Joe has yet to win a title on the main roster yet. However, that can change if he’s able to go all the way in the Royal Rumble. He’d for sure be an outside pick, but a win setting up a match with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania would be fine with this writer.

19. RVD

Doesn’t it seem like RVD is always one of the few names popping up during Royal Rumble season? There’s a reason why, too. RVD has always been insanely popular with the audience and every time he returns it makes for great entertainment. It would be something to see the former WWE Champion get in the ring and mix it up with the likes of Finn Balor and Sami Zayn. Count me in for a one of a kind return from RVD.

20. Baron Corbin

Assuming Baron Corbin doesn’t disappear after he was fired from his job as manager on Monday nights, it would make sense for Corbin to appear in the Royal Rumble. People hate Corbin and seeing him eliminate one of the favorites in the match would be a sight to see…or hear.
