The Miz Goes All-Out For Shane McMahon
Find yourself someone who goes as head-over-heels for you as The Miz does for Shane McMahon. He’s pulled out all the stops to convince Shane to partner up with him, throwing out the red carpet and the big ol’ Santa hat on the Crown Jewel trophy for this Miz TV episode. Heck, he even called Shane “Best in the World” in his intro!
But this is his last chance to court Shane as his partner in 2018, so he better not fail here!
In addition to bringing up the “Land of Opportunity” narrative, Shane speaks more about how WWE is trying to give the fans what they want going forward. He says new superstars are on their way, referencing the likes of Nikki Cross and EC3 coming up from NXT soon, and adds that the fresh matchups are already happening. (That’s clearly a reference to the Mustafa Ali vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas match that happened tonight.)
The Miz brings up his father as a reason for why he’s so intent on tagging with Shane. Despite all of his accolades and titles, including a WrestleMania main event, Miz’s dad has never told him that he’s proud of his son. This part of the segment featured some more A-List acting from Miz, who explained that his father is a huge fan of the fearless Shane McMahon.
Because Shane said that WWE wants to give the fans what they want, Miz turns it over to the fans. He asks Fresno if they want to see him tag together as the best tag team in the world, and they get loud cheers and “Yes!” chants in response.
So is it happening?
It is! And The Miz led a Yes! chant after his embrace with Shane! It’s a Christmas Miracle!
Grade: A, Like, this was seriously awesome and qualifies as a feel-good moment to help cap off 2018. I am #here for babyface Miz in a tag team with Shane’O’Mac!
