Ruby Riott
Similar to Ember Moon, Ruby Riott is in the camp of competitors that have had some great moments and made a solid impact since coming to the main roster. Riott actually arrived in late 2017, making her first impact with The Riott Squad by targeting Becky Lynch and Naomi. The trio was drafted to Raw during the 2018 Superstar Shake-up, and have been a thorn in the side of the Raw women’s division ever since then.
Whether their attention was trained on Bayley and Sasha Banks, The Bella Twins, or most recently Natalya, Ruby Riott and her squadmates Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan have been working on their own set of rules. The Riott Squad have been, more than anything, a trio of disruptors. Regardless of where they’re at or who they’re going after, The Riott Squad disrupts everything around them in order to help themselves.
In the lead-up to WWE’s Super Show-Down event in Australia, Riott got to square off with Ronda Rousey in a non-title contest on Raw. It wasn’t enough to pick up the win over Rousey, but it did give Riott some valuable experience against the woman who currently holds the Raw Women’s Championship. Riott still has the rest of her trio at her side, and depending on how the numbers go we could see all three in the Royal Rumble at the same time.
As I’ve mentioned before, alliances are never perfect in a match like the Royal Rumble, but the bonds between The Riott Squad have proven to be strong and lasting. If they find themselves there together, there’s no doubt the trio could be a force eliminating several competitors in the Women’s Rumble. If Riott can pick up the win and head to WrestleMania, she’ll likely have some excellent riding partners on the Road to WrestleMania.
