Charlotte Flair

For a few months now, there’s been speculation putting Charlotte Flair as the favorite to win the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble. Primarily, this stems from a desire to see Charlotte Flair take on Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania and reports that indicated that match could main event WWE’s biggest show of the year. Of course, “The Man” Becky Lynch has thrown a humongous wrench into things and shaken those plans.

It’s a fair shift considering everything that’s happened in the last few months, but that doesn’t mean Charlotte Flair isn’t still a very likely option to be victorious and pointing to that WrestleMania sign at the end of the Women’s Rumble. Perhaps more than anyone else on the entire roster, male or female, Charlotte Flair has shown herself to be the safest bet when placed in the spotlight.

Every single time Charlotte has a big moment, competes for a championship, or competes on pay-per-view, she reminds fans just how amazing an athlete, wrestler, and superstar she is. While she’ll never be without the connection to her father, Charlotte has transcended the name and blazed her own trail in WWE’s women’s division. Plus, she’s still got unfinished business with Ronda Rousey.

While the mystique of a potential Rousey vs Flair matchup was initially dented by having them face off at Survivor Series, it was Charlotte’s willingness to get disqualified by destroying Rousey with a kendo stick that only added intrigue to their eventual clash. If Rousey can hold onto the Raw Women’s Championship, the best way for Flair to get to her is to win the Royal Rumble and challenge Rousey at WrestleMania, but can The Queen make it happen?
