Nikki Cross

Who wants to play with Nikki? At the Royal Rumble, WWE’s newest chaotic competitor will have 29 other superstars to play with. Cross made a mark in 2018 by showing up on SmackDown Live to challenge Becky Lynch in a non-title contest. She had a great showing in a losing effort, but more than anything it showed just how ready Nikki is for the spotlight of SmackDown Live. While her main roster home hasn’t been confirmed, she belongs on SmackDown with the rest of SAnitY, her old running buddies from NXT.

Chaos and unpredictability reign when Cross is competing, but don’t let those quirks distract you from her toughness. Despite coming up short on several attempts to capture the NXT Women’s Championship, Cross showed herself to be one of the most resilient competitors NXT has ever seen. During her brutal Last Woman Standing Match against Asuka, SAnitY’s Twisted Sister took the undefeated NXT Women’s Champion to the edge and beyond.

Perhaps the most terrifying and intimidating thing about Nikki Cross is that even when she’s being beaten down to her lowest point, she’s smiling. When Nikki has been pushed to the limit and she’s about to pass out from the pain, she’s smiling. It’s the kind of small gesture that amplifies her craziness and makes her opponents question themselves. If you give Nikki Cross everything you have and she’s just sitting there smiling, what else are you supposed to do?

At the Royal Rumble, she may get a chance to put that toughness to the ultimate test. If Cross can outlast 29 other women, she can bring’s SAnitY’s brand of chaos to WrestleMania 35 and attempt to walk out as the Raw or SmackDown Women’s Champion. It would be an amazing moment for someone so fresh on the main roster, but Cross has exactly the resiliency and unorthodox style required to make that happen.
