WWE: 10 Performers With The Best Heel-Work of 2018
2018 is quickly coming to a close, and at the year’s conclusion, it gives us the opportunity to look at the WWE calendar year in retrospect. There have been highs and lows, but most interestingly, we’ve seen some of the best heel work in the company’s history.
Whether you were watching the main roster or one of WWE’s Network exclusive shows, the heels have been more savage and vicious then they’ve ever been in recent memory. We’re going to take the time to rank the heels in WWE who left an impression on us in 2018 more than anyone else this year.
But first, a few honorable mentions worth mentioning.

Lio Rush: 2018 saw the 205 Live star completely reshape his character into something of a Muhammad Ali-esque jaw jacker. He perfectly portrays an annoying weasel character that you want to see get his just desserts every week. The 24-year old Piece of Gold’s golden mic skills came in handy by retooling Bobby Lashley’s character after The Dominator’s direction had been stagnant since his re-debut.
Dean Ambrose & Daniel Bryan: Both men have been killing it since their respective heel turns, both of which were two of the most shocking turns in recent memory. Unfortunately, they’ve both been heels for just a little over a month, so it wouldn’t be fair to list their brief work among the best heels of all year, even though both have been doing stellar work lately.
Alexa Bliss: She’s such a great heel character that WWE went out of their way to keep her on television despite her injury. Why? Because she’s one of the company’s best villains.
Becky Lynch: As much as she’s been on a role this past year since her SummerSlam character shift, she’s been far too beloved to call her a heel. Still the breakout star of the year though.
