8. Brock Lesnar

We know – Brock Lesnar was never on WWE television nearly as much as he should have been despite being Universal Champion,  and he hardly did enough to work for the heat he received in 2018. Yet, Lesnar remained one of the most hated wrestlers of the year for the same reasons listed above.

Whether you fancied Roman Reigns going into WrestleMania 34 or not, you most likely booed the sight of Lesnar once again walking out of a main event with the World Championship. Why? Because nobody wants to see a part timer with the World Championship, especially one with a reputation like Lesnar’s.

For ages, fans have voiced their disdain towards Lesnar for being either a champion who rarely shows up, a guy who’s only in the business for the paycheck, a lughead with no care for protecting his opponents, or all of the above.

It wasn’t until this year that WWE decided to incorporate that perception into the Brock Lesnar character by not only highlighting how he’s holding the title hostage, but how he couldn’t care less about the WWE Universe or wrestling in general.

Call it go away heat or bad heat if you want, but it doesn’t change the fact that it made us hate Lesnar even more than we already did, especially when he was tossing Daniel Bryan around on his neck like a sack of pancakes at Survivor Series.
