WWE Royal Rumble Match Card Predictions: A Full-Time Universal Champion

Men’s Royal Rumble Match🔴🔵

The Men’s Royal Rumble Match will also feature 30 superstars attempting to toss their opponents over the top rope. The last one left standing will be announced the winner and thereby advance to the main event of WrestleMania to face the main card champion of their choosing, whether it be Universal Champion Brock Lesnar or WWE Champion Daniel Bryan. This match will most likely be the main event this year. In contrast to the Women’s Royal Rumble match, it’s very difficult to narrow the winner down to two superstars.

From SmackDown, I foresee The Miz and John Cena having the highest chance of winning. If The Miz wins, he would most likely face his nemesis, WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, for one final match at WrestleMania 35. Although this match up has been repeated plenty of times, it would still be intriguing and fresh for three reasons:

(1) Their roles are flipped with Daniel Bryan as a heel and The Miz as a face.

(2) This would also be their first WWE Championship match against each other.

(3) This would be their first WrestleMania match against each other.

However, The Miz is focusing on teaming with Shane O Mac, so a Royal Rumble win seems unlikley. If Cena wins, he would be the most shocking victor, but he could face WWE Champion Daniel Bryan in a SummerSlam 2013 rematch to become a 17-time WWE Champion. He is indeed scheduled to return to SmackDown Live next week, so this could be a strong sign that he is ready to take over again. However, he is very much involved with movies, so it seems unlikely.

From Raw, I foresee Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre having the highest chances of winning. If Rollins wins, he would most likely face current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar in order to obtain redemption for Roman Reigns. However, Rollins is not yet done with current IC Champion Dean Ambrose. Also, I do not foresee Brock Lesnar retaining the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble since the new era needs a full time champion, so a Rumble win by Rollins seems unlikely as well. If Mcintyre wins, he would most likely face the new Universal Champion Braun Strowman if Strowman can dethrone Lesnar at the Rumble.

The Chosen One has Claymored Strowman’s head off countless times these past few months and they still have not had a match. This could have been a long-term build up for their eventual title match at WrestleMania 35. Since McIntyre is attempting to revitalize his career and has recently turned on Ziggler to find his own path to stardom, I can foresee him winning the WWE Royal Rumble Match and advancing to WrestleMania 35 to battle Strowman for the Universal Championship once and for all.
