5. Kota Ibushi vs Adam Page – Supercard of Honor XII

On April 7, 2018, Ring of Honor set a new attendance record of over 6,000 fans packed the UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was a historical night filled with great matches (some of which have made this list) and unforgettable moments.

One of the dark-horse matches on the card was Kota Ibushi versus Adam Page. When Kota Ibushi was announced for Supercard, his opponent was a mystery. The rumor mill turned and after several weeks we finally found out Ibushi’s opponent – Hangman Adam Page.

There was not really any story line leading to this match other than the fact that Page was in Bullet Club and Ibushi’s Golden Lover teammate Kenny Omega was fighting for leadership of Bullet Club.

But even without a story line, this match was absolutely mad! We were gifted with another Kota classic which arguably gave Hangman his best match in ROH to date.

The performance from both men was absolutely stellar and filled with breathtaking spots such as Kota’s barricade suplex and both men delivering moonsaults from the top turnbuckles onto the outside mat.

Kota Ibushi may have won the match, but there is no doubt that both he and Adam Page both won with this excellent match up.
