1. February 19 Raw Gauntlet Match

Was there ever any doubt? Nothing defined Seth Rollins’s amazing 2018 more than his Gauntlet Match performance on Feb. 19, which came just days before the Elimination Chamber match. And while it was Roman Reigns who won at EC to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34, Rollins emerged as the biggest winner of the week by becoming “Monday Night Rollins”.

It was a nice for the ages, as social media was ablaze and the audience fell for Rollins head-over-heels again. After shrewdly rolling up Roman Reigns after an even back-and-forth between the two familiar opponents, Rollins had to stand toe-to-toe with John Cena.

In back-to-back mini-matches to start the Gauntlet Match, Rollins had to go up against two of the biggest stars in WWE. Any other superstar would have been burned out after taking on Reigns, but Rollins had enough energy to take on the 16-time champ…and win.

Rollins eliminated Cena in inspiring fashion, coming back after being beaten down by an aggressive, desperate Cena, who was willing to do anything in his power to forge a path to WrestleMania 34 as the veteran in the room. But all of his attitude adjustments, STFs, and moves of doom weren’t enough to keep down Rollins, who just kept fighting for something extra as he fired up the crowd to a frenzy. They threw their full support behind him, and Rollins finished Cena off with a ripcord knee strike, a superkick, and a Stomp for one of the craziest pins of the year.

In 65 minutes of action, Rollins showed the WWE Universe why he can a top star in this company, and this Gauntlet Match is why so many fans are hoping for him to defeat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. Rollins was always a popular superstar and has been a part of historic moments, such as the WrestleMania 31 Money in the Bank cash-in, but by pinning Reigns and Cena back-to-back, Rollins reached a new level of greatness. In one night, Rollins looked like WWE’s top male babyface, further solidifying this over the ensuing months.

But in light of his recent tweets, that may no longer be the case.
