WWE Raw Results, Highlights, And Grades For December 31, 2018
Jinder Mahal And The Singh Brothers vs. Heath Slater And Rhyno
Rhyno returned to WWE Raw last week as a wonderful Christmas gift, helping Heath Slater by hitting a massive “Gore” on Jinder Mahal. This caused a two-on-three handicap match to be booked for tonight’s show, with the Singh Brothers, Samir and Sunil, wrestling side-by-side with their Modern Day Maharaja against the long-time tag team of Heath Slater and Rhyno.
Slater started the match by getting pummeled by former Three Man Band member Jinder, which was to be expected. Sunil and Samir made wise usage of frequent tags to ground Slater in the corner as Jinder played up to the crowd. They hit a nasty double-team suplex on Slater for a nearfall, with Samir finally tagging out to Sunil just as Rhyno made his hot tag.
Rhyno started beating up both Singh Brothers inside the ring, suplexing both men out of the ring before hitting a sick spinebuster on Mahal. Unfortunately, a distraction caused Rhyno to lose focus, and that opened up an opportunity for Mahal to hit a “Khallas” for a win and some revenge for the former WWE Champion.
Grade: C-, While it’s always great to see Slater and Rhyno out there, this was a light match to fill some time.
Dean Ambrose Promo
Dean Ambrose rants about how he doesn’t need a fresh start, but explains why Seth Rollins does, noting how angry he looks after that Triple H segment. He adds that as the “Moral Compass” of WWE, it is his responsibility to burn Rollins and everything he stands for to the ground. Ambrose is also no fan of fairytale stories, stating that he’ll defeat Apollo Crews with ease in tonight’s Intercontinental Championship match.
