3. John Cena And Becky Lynch Segment

It had been over a year since John Cena was seen on SmackDown with the 16-time world champion venturing into other worlds in the meantime.  However, the new year brought back the same old face of the face that runs the place, Big Match John.

Cena’s return to WWE TV came last night after very limited appearances throughout most of 2018, especially after the WrestleMania 34 work he did with The Undertaker.  New hair and all, Cena came out and it was just like old times.  But once Cena started talking, everything picked up and got going.

He asked the question of why he’s back over and over, but he didn’t have an immediate answer for the WWE universe.  Cena said usually when he comes out and talks, someone interrupts him and comes down to voice their opinion towards Cena.  He called for it again, but instead of a man coming down, The Man answered the call.  Becky Lynch came out to address Cena, and it was glorious.

She asked what it was like for Cena to be in the ring with The Man.  Lynch also said that she’s coming for the position that Cena has had in the WWE over the past 16 years and that if he doesn’t like it, Nikki Bella wouldn’t be the only woman to drop him this year.  Then Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega came out to call out both Cena and Lynch, but Cena decided it was worthy of a match, which it was.

This was a great segment seeing Cena and Lynch in the same ring, but it was even better seeing The Man diss Big Match John.
