3 Potential Surprise Debuts At WWE Royal Rumble 2019

The Royal Rumble match is no stranger to feats of incredible athleticism. Just take a quick look through Kofi Kingston’s past appearance in Royal Rumble matches if you need any proof.
While Kingston therefore is usually the star of the air each year in these matches, in 2019 he might just need to share the spotlight with the ‘One and Only’ high-flying sensation that may make his way to the main roster for an appearance.
Ricochet is one of the most captivating and exciting stars to watch in wrestling today. The fluidity of his movements, combined with his unmatched agility, would be a natural fit for a spotlight in a Royal Rumble match.
The current NXT North American Champion could easily have a thrilling spot avoiding elimination in the same style of Kofi Kingston in years past. It would be a real passing of the torch moment between two of the most athletic stars in WWE’s history if we see Ricochet shine in avoiding his likely inevitable elimination in 2019.
Actually, why does it have to be just Ricochet who shines? Perhaps Kingston could join Ricochet in some sort of tandem spot that would really get the crowd going. Normally, I would hypothesize what that kind of spot would look like, but when it comes to Kofi Kingston and The Royal Rumble, you can never know what you’re in store to see.
Ultimately, the potential for Ricochet to execute a litany of highly entertaining spots in such a hectic match could be far too great for him to sit on the sidelines for this year’s Royal Rumble.
