6. Ember Moon

With everyone assuming we’re going to see Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch competing for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, there’s an opening for someone to challenge Asuka(or whomever is SmackDown Women’s Champion) at the Show of Shows.

Ember Moon would be a tremendous pick for a dark horse winner of the 2019 Royal Rumble.

Winning the 2018 Rumble was huge for Asuka at the time and now with her holding a championship this time around, it’ll be interesting to see who she could potentially match up with at WrestleMania 35.

Ember Moon could follow a similar trajectory as Asuka and just maybe the two are destined for a clash at MetLife Stadium. Moon is currently a member of the Raw roster, but perhaps when given the chance to choose which champion to wrestle, she’d choose the woman with whom she shared classics with down in NXT.

It would give her a chance to avenge those losses on the biggest stage of them all.

7. Billie Kay

The IIconics haven’t had a breakout performance quite yet as members of SmackDown Live, but a strong showing at the Royal Rumble could be the perfect opportunity for Billie Kay or Peyton Royce to be taken more seriously.

Obviously, if they both enter the fray around the same time, it will spell trouble for the rest of the competitors.

8. Tamina Snuka

Tamina Snuka has found new life since joining forces with Nia Jax. After struggling to get television time for the better part of this year, she recently found herself in the main event on Raw while teaming up with Jax to take on Ronda Rousey and Natalya.

Expect Tamina to continue her rise in this year’s Royal Rumble.

Tamina will undoubtedly be responsible for at least a couple of eliminations because her power and strength will play well in a match of this caliber. If Tamina and Nia can stay on the same page for the entirety of this match, the pair might just be unstoppable.

9. Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville really put her name out there in 2018 with quite a few solid matches on SmackDown Live, with her most recent performance coming in a stellar bout with Naomi. Deville has yet to have a single’s match on PPV, but 2019 might be her time.

Deville has the technical skill, aggressiveness and overall attitude needed to deliver quality matches on a consistent basis.

She has the potential to have a breakout year in 2019 and I think that begins with a great showing in the Women’s Royal Rumble.

However, in order to fully break out and reach her full potential, Deville must go out on her own and detach herself from Mandy Rose. Once she does that, a future feud between the two would be able to bring out the emotion necessary to get fans everywhere engaged.

I’m predicting the downfall of their friendship begins at the Rumble with Deville tossing her friend from the ring.
