Impact Wrestling Homecoming’s Best and Worst Moments
Worst: Uncooperative zip ties are a fact of life
It’s a small moment, but there was some frustration during the Monster’s Ball Match between Abyss and Eli Drake.
Late in the match, Drake looked to gain a clear advantage by essentially neutralizing Abyss’ arms. After throwing thumbtacks in his eyes and striking him with a chair, Drake slid out of the ring and retrieved some zip ties from beneath the ring. He came back in and proceeded to use them to restrain Abyss. Well, he tried to.

The zip ties just weren’t quite big enough to go around Abyss’ hands. Drake tried using three, but the second he thought he had stuff set they just popped loose. He gave up and started wailing on Abyss with a chair.
The match still had a solid finish, but it was clear that things didn’t go as planned during that moment. Another struggle, but fortunately another one that didn’t ruin an otherwise great match.
Best: Alisha Edwards unloads on Moose
After a hardcore Falls Count Anywhere Match saw Moose and Eddie Edwards go to war, it was clear that Eddie wasn’t holding anything back.
After being threatened and pushed to his limits in every way by Moose, Eddie was ready to inflict every bit of pain possible on his former friend turned nemesis. Eddie was also seeking revenge for the actions that brought his wife Alisha Edwards into the mix, with Moose going as far as to say she should leave Eddie.
As Eddie’s descent into madness had continued in recent months, his wife Alisha had tried her hardest to be the voice of reason. She was the one who had Eddie committed to a mental institution in hopes that it would bring him back to reality.
So it was no surprise that she came out during Eddie’s assault on Moose and tried to stop him. It looked like Alisha was going to beg Eddie to end things and stop the attack, but instead she took the kendo stick from him and started to unload on Moose!
Swinging like a woman possessed, Alisha took all her anger with what Moose had done and channelled it into the kendo stick. Strike after strike after strike, and you can even see the shock on the face of Eddie Edwards about what’s happening before his very eyes.
Eddie quickly finished off Moose for the win after that, but now the demented husband and wife duo is back on the same page. With an equally dangerous Alisha Edwards at his side, the sky is the limit for Eddie Edwards in 2019 Impact Wrestling.
